Freerice.com Helps Students Learn Vocabulary Words While Feeding the World

This web-site is helpful for students and for the world's hungry. Apparently, a father of a student who did not do well on the vocabulary part of his SATs created this site to help his son study. Taking it a step further, he has sponsors for the game donating 20 grains of rice for every word a player gets correct. The rice is distributed via the UN World Food Program.

My kids and I play this game every day to see who can reach 1,000 grains of rice first. We are enriching our vocabulary while being involved in a program that is bigger than just us.
