Friendship (The Iron Butterfly IV)

Friendship

She lands on a rock.
Outside a huge cave
Of misunderstanding.
The ugliness which
Lives inside emerges.
The dragon of madness
Has eyes filled with sorrow.
He scares away
All hopes of having a friend.
She watches him
Each gesture expresses his loneliness
He lingers down the
Grassy hill to the
Crystal blue pond.
He looks at his reflection,
All he can see is ugly.
She can see his beauty,
She knows his pain.
She understands his loneliness.
The iron butterfly
Has a friend.

This one reminds me of that

This one reminds me of that scene in "Big Fish," where Ewan McGregor's character encounters the giant in the cave.

I really liked your poem, it has a lot of depths too it.
