As women reach an older age, they suffer menopause and once this occurs, certain health conditions may occur. One of which is the weakening of the bones, osteoporosis. Several studies indicate that 1 out of every 3 women suffer osteoporosis as they grow older and reach menopausal stage. To prevent this, women are advised to take in calcium for supplement which are present in milk and some other vitamins. But studies have indicated that calcium absorption is only effective prior to menopause. Besides there are plenty of people who cannot tolerate milk. What can a woman do now to minimize bone loss during menopause. Studies have indicated that apples, grape juice, and raisins are the perfect solution.
