Fun-Filled and Popular Games For Kids: KerPlunk Classic Game Still Going Strong and Now Comes in an Electronic Version
posted December 6, 2008 - 12:16amMattel's Ker Plunk Game has been around for over 35 years and seeing this listing brought back fond memories of having fun playing this game on a rainy afternoon with friends!
Setting up and playing this game for two to four players is simple. Insert sticks through the center of the tube in a random criss-cross fashion then dump the marbles into the top so that they are supported by the sticks. Take turns pulling out the sticks while trying to determine which one won't release any marbles. The player with the least amount of marbles at the end of the game wins! The name of the game comes from the sound of falling marbles that you hear throughout the game ("ker-plunk" "ker-plunk") and the game usually ends with the remainder of the marbles crashing down as a player pulls out the stick holding them back! This was always one of my favorites as a kid and whether playing at home or at school during an indoor recess when weather was bad, I still remember it as loads of simple fun!
Keeping up with the times, I see Mattel has introduced an electronic version of their classic game called Electronic Super Kerplunk! that is larger, has two levels of marbles, and incorporates electronic lights and sounds to get the kids even more excited!

Whichever version you choose, KerPlunk is a game that kids have enjoyed for over three decades and will surely continue to enjoy!
