Funnies from the mouth of my darling three year old. The beginning of the Olivinator files.

Funnies from the mouth of my darling three year old. The beginning of the Olivinator files.

I'm the mother of four children. Their ages range significantly. The most rambunctious and opinionated of the four is my youngest, Olivia, who is three. She is also known as "Olivinator". You know, similar to the "Terminator"....but not so much metal. My sister actually coined this phrase. It fits her well.

She is absolutely gorgeous, if I do say so myself. Very, very smart, and so very active. Even for a toddler. She says some interesting, and sometimes hilarious things.

Yesterday for example...

Olivinator: "Mommeeeeeee"

Me: "Yes"

Olivinator: "I'm a octopus!"

Me: "Oh really? I thought you were Olivia."

Olivinator: (Completely unphased by my remark.) "Mommeeeeeee!"..."Octopus like popcorn." (Said in a very matter of fact tone. The kind of tone that implies that everyone already knows this useful information. Why not? Everyone should know such things, right? It should be in the How to be a parent manual!)

Me: laughing a lot

A few weeks ago, out of the blue:

Olivinator: mumbling....something about "stink"

Me: "What? I can't understand you baby."

Olivinator: "I wear deodorent so I don't stink. Like Daddy."

Come to find out later, Daddy had said something like this to her because she wanted to know what he used it for.

When she is sleepy, fighting sleep, and does not want to go go bed, she is suddenly "afraid" of everything. She also looses the ability to do most everything.

"Mommmeeeee!" "I can't walk..."

When she is being sweet, everything and everybody is her "favorite".

"Odie is my favorite kitty in da world" (Odie is our cat, our only cat.)

"I wuv you Mommeeeee. You're my favorite mommy in da world."

Same for her sister, her two brothers, and Daddy. She takes turns with the dogs, but usually Daphne is her favorite. (We have four dogs.)

(This is Odie-cat, hard at work. I keep telling him to stop flashing everyone, but he just never listens.)

More to come on the Olivinator files. : )
