This GPS features a highly sensitive SiRF reciever. Even in thick cover or deep canyons, you should have no trouble locking and holding a satellite. With a bright 256 color display, the screen is crisp and easy to read.

I might add that Amazon is known for having great deals on many models of GPS. The 60CSx is priced very low there compared to other vendors.
All considered, the Garmin 60CSx is a great device and when you consider the sale price, it is also a good value making it one of the best GPS for the money in the handheld GPS category.
