Gates Millennium Scholar Program - Nominations Extended to Jan. 14th

There has been a high volume of nominations for the Gates Millennium Scholarship Program (GMSP), so the deadline for nominations has been extended to January 14th, 2008 at at 11:59 Eastern Time, according to the program's Web site, GMSP.org.

The Gates Millennium Scholars program (GMS) was set up to provide a low-income students from various minorities with the chance to get an undergraduate education in whatever discipline they choose. The GMS program is funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the charitable foundation set up by Microsoft Corporation founder and former CEO Bill Gates and his wife.

If you're applying for a Gates Millennium Scholars grant, you've got this weekend to prepare your application.
