Gaydar via human satellite

She’s appeared on television a couple of times; presenting this show or the other but I’ve always suspected her as one of us from the start. I have come to believe over the years that homosexuals do really have some sort of Gay
radar. Throughout my life I’ve somehow known when someone is a fellow lesbian, I don’t really know how it works or if it’s true but I know it works for me.
I remember when I was in college and had this female friend; now she didn’t know I was gay (not that I myself knew either!) and still doesn’t know. There was this girl in our class that I’d told my friend undoubtedly was gay. I’m not sure whether my friend uses to live under a rock before she came to college or what; but honestly she was clueless.
The girl I was speculating about; I had never met before I started my second year at college. My friend decided to befriend this girl to see if my theory was true. Strange enough a couple of years later that girl confessed to me that she’s gay. I think it’s radar that is exclusive to us and we are hardly ever wrong.

I have actually heard
I have actually heard of this before, from a lesbian friend in high school. She talked of going to gay clubs and how if you are straight, the others 'know' this and will not 'hit' on you. They also did not throw others out of the club because they are straight.
