George Clooney, Johnny Depp or Leonardo Di Caprio to Play Frank Sinatra
posted October 25, 2009 - 5:49amMartin Scorsese is planning to make a hard-hitting biopic of History’s greatest crooner and on of its first official heart throbs, the one and only, Frank Sinatra. There’s some disagreement between his vision and that of Sinatra’s daughter Tina – allegedly. Scorsese wants to do his usually hard hitting, super-realistic, warts and all, portrayal whereas Sinatra’s daughter wants a completely different treatment. The latter won’t happen because Scorsese (like Madonna) would “never compromise his artistic integrity” – but who will play the lead?
Again - allegedly - there is a battle going on between George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Leonardo Di Caprio to win the role. How will Scorcese make his mind up? Surely there’s a chance he’ll go for a lookalike with an incredible singing voice. If he takes the unknown route and finds an until now unknown actor, he’ll surely save a bob or two and a new star will be born.
If however, Scorsese goes the A list route he’ll be assisted by his close, new associate, Wilma Proops. The Agony Aunt to the Stars has already volunteered to take the three to the casting couch and put the desperate stars – Clooney, Depp and Di Caprio - through their paces. Wilma Proops will also, if necessary call them back for more and additional encores as necessary.
“Martin S is a great friend of mine” Wilma commented with a bottle of Gin in hand “I’ve set aside a few weeks to see the list and have a series of tasks and positions for them all to adopt at the castings… it’ll be a difficult decision2 she mused “and I’m sure I’ll have to see all three on many occasions – separately and together… BRING ‘EM ON!” concluded Wilma Proops

Clooney, Clooney, Clooney!
If it is anything to do with Wilma Proops it'll be George Clooney and he'd have to wear a codpiece!

I hope Johnny Depp gets the part, he'd look gorgeous with his hair slicked back and a trademark Sinatra suit on! George could play him in his latter years!
