Get out of Your Sprint Cell Phone Contract for Free
posted January 1, 2009 - 2:10amSince Sprint will be raising the rates on a standard fee from $.75 to $.99, the consumer is allowed to break the contract, as the terms of it have changed.
Sprint cell phone users can opt out of their contract with no termination fee. These fees can often be around $200.00 or more depending on the cell phone company. They are very expensive and you definitely should not have to pay this kind of charge.
So if you are unhappy with Sprints service, you should know that you can call up a representative from the company and tell them that you want to discontinue your service with them. Legally, the company needs to respect your wishes.
If you are happy with your wireless service, than this doesn't apply to you, unless you feel like making a change or have been interested in looking into prepaid cell phones as a way of saving some money on your phone bill.
It's really all about being happy with your service, not overpaying, and getting what you want and need out of a cell phone. Often, prepaid wireless can be a great bet, especially for people who use fewer minutes.
Let's put it this way, if you use around 200 minutes a month, but pay for more on a monthly contract, then you should be using a Tracfone or look into T-mobile prepaid. You will be saving money most of the time, depending on what other "add-ons" you use.
