Get paid to quit smoking

Scotland's Department of Health just started a new experimental project - get paid to quit smoking. They plan that this project will help more than nine hundreds of people quit smoking.

Every member of the project will get paid 12 pounds (about 25 dollars)a week and will get all the medical help he needs to make it as easy as possible for him to quit. Of course every member will have to make a blood test every week to prove that he have not smoked.

If this project will be successful then government plans to realize it all over the country.

I think it is great that government shows to people that it care about they`r health so much that it is even ready to pay them to take care about it.

But I am sure that non-smokers will have something to say too. for example: "We have to pay taxes,so government could spend this money on people who are too... ... to quit smoking by them self..."
