I started mystery shopping about five years ago. I actually found out about it through a work at home forum for Moms that I frequent. One of the Moms told me that she gets paid to shop by mystery shopping. She emailed me the link to this great website and applied to the mystery shopping companies that were on their list. A general rule of thumb: Never ever pay a company to become a mystery shopper with them. This is usually a scam.

Within a week of my applying at different companies, I had gotten my first real assignment. I couldn't believe I was going to get paid to shop! I average about $500 a month mystery shopping, but that is because I am choosy about the jobs I want to take. Plus, I've got other things on my plate and I just don't have the time like I used to!
