Get the Most for your Money When Buying Food: 2 Non-for-Profit Organizations That Provide Food to Anyone At An Enormous Discount

Introduction:

Currently, our country’s economics are on shaky ground. This occurrence has caused the prices of food, gas, clothing, and other consumer goods to cost quite a bit more than which we are comfortable. I am sure you have all seen on your local or regional news a mention such as, “The cost of milk has gone up 17% in the last three months,” or “Gasoline has risen $0.14 in the last two weeks.” To assume this new burden of higher valued products, we are forced to take on extra jobs and cut down on various expenses; some items that we have always purchased have now become luxuries.

I am not here to forecast the collapse of our country’s infrastructure or just complain; I have a few suggestions to help you make the most of your money and perhaps earn some more. I plan to post a few different suggestions as Xomblurbs over the next week or so; please keep checking back for updates and helpful suggestions. Today’s helpful suggestions are on two organizations that provide food to anyone at a great discount (see below). Some of the notes in the future will involve making the most of internet coupons and earning a bit of extra cash through internet survey companies, who pay you to answer questions about what products your household uses and what television shows you prefer.

Discount Food Organizations:

Two wonderful organizations of which I am aware are Angel Food Ministries and Great Food for All. These organizations provide boxes of food at an enormous discount to anyone – no income requirements or papers to fill out. Though each is not available everywhere in the United States, I hope one of them has an affiliate near you, so you can take advantage of their money-saving food offers; lowering your grocery bill is a great way to ease some of the financial tension we are all under. Here’s an example of August’s $30.00 box of food from each organization for the state of Ohio.

Angel Food Ministries

1.5 lb. Ribeye Steaks (4 x 6 oz.)
5 lb. Chicken Leg Quarters
28 oz. Chicken Breast Nuggets
28 oz. Salisbury Steak Dinner Entrée
32 oz. Breaded Chicken Breast Filets
16 oz. Smoked Sausage
16 oz. California Blend Frozen Vegetables
16 oz. Frozen Carrots
16 oz. Frozen Chopped Spinach
10 ct. Frozen Waffles
16 oz. Bean Soup Mix
1 lb. Rice
9 oz. Instant Potatoes (14 servings)
15 oz. Sliced Peaches
32 oz. Borden Shelf Stable Milk
Dozen Eggs
Dessert Item

Great Food for All

Beef or Pork Roast Meal Kit
1.0lb Barbeque Glazed Chicken Wings
2.0 Rack of Ribs
1.5lb Fully Cooked Chicken Strips
1.5lb Fully Cooked Beef Strips
27oz Banquet Frozen Entrée
1.5lb Fully Cooked Fried Chicken
1.5lb Green Beans
2.5lb Roasted Red Skin Potato
3.0lb Chopped Spinach
1lb Frozen sliced Apples
10ct Ready to Eat Yeast Rolls
Snack Pack - 2 X 10 inch Pizzas
Dessert

Each program also offers additional special boxes of food if you purchase at least one $30.00 box of food. Did I mention you can buy as much as you want?- No limits! These additional boxes usually have themes, such as a kids box, grill box, desert box, or senior meal box. Just as the $30.00 box menu changes from month to month, so the special boxes change.
