Get your credit card rate reduced right now. A penny saved is a penny earned!

Here is what you do, it takes only a couple of minutes and you have nothing to lose.

Most of you have probably been paying high rates on you credit cards which you can have lowered, but the (many)card companies have a "honor but do not offer policy".

This means that you have the right to ask for a lower rate and if you are a good customer (even if you have a balance) they will honor you by giving you a lower rate but they will NEVER offer it to you.

You must call them and ask them for this, and here is your short script so you won't wonder how to ask.

"I think I've been a good customer. I I'd like to stay with you, but I really would like you to lower the rate on my card. Can you help me?" If they say no then you should ask to speak to a supervisor and say the same thing.

Stay polite, and if you have more than one credit card you should try it for each card. This can be saving you a lot of money and lower your interest rate short term and long term.
