Getting paid for blogging

Blogging can be very profitable for the talented blogger who is writing in the right niche and who knows how to market his blog. The fact of the matter is, however, that many folks don't have talents in both writing and marketing. For example, there are some folks that are great at blog marketing that are relatively poor writers. There are other folks who write very well, but can't seem to get anyone to read their blog. For these people, getting paid to blog may be the best way to go about making money by blogging.

The good news is that there are many blogs who will pay writers to blog for them. Some of the most popular blogs are actually written by paid writers. The two biggest challenges, when it comes to getting paid to blog, are finding clients and learning to write good blog content.

Finding clients who will pay you to blog can be difficult. The vast majority of blogs are written by the blog owner, and those folks very often have no desire or ability to hire anyone to write for them. Still, there are potential clients that will pay you to blog.

There are several ways you might find clients willing to pay you to blog. The first place to look is at the various freelance web sites. Sites like eLance, Scriptlance, and Guru feature advertisements from clients who are trying to find blog writers. Creating a quality profile on these sites and then bidding on blog writing projects is one way to get paid to blog. You might also find clients on job sites, such as Monster or the job section of CraigsList, or on writer-specific job sites.

Learning to write good blog content can be a bit tricky. Writing a blog is not like writing a novel or a how-to book. Writing a blog generally requires a specific writing style that tends to be personal and conversational. In addition, you have to be able to identify what good blog content is, and try to focus on writing good blog content. In addition, most blog writing doesn't have the same sort of editing and proofreading process that occurs with print writing, so to write good blog content you will have to be able to be effective at proofing your own writing.

With hard work and dedication to your craft, you should have no problem finding a way to get paid to blog.
