Giant white diamond sold in auction

A giant white diamond (84.37 carat), one of the biggest ever cut has been sold in an auction at Geneva for 16 million USD! The diamond was bought by a bid over telephone by Georges Marciano of Guess? firm. Having taken more than 2 years to cut, it is the biggest ever diamond to be put on auction.
Graded D-color, the highest possible color, a jeweller has advised the buyer to wear it on a bracelet as he would not be able to see it if he were to use it on a necklace.
