That was the beginning of an epiphany for me. My son was starting to not need me every second of the day. He was engaging in self-directed play. For the next couple of hours, I kept the television off and just lay on the sofa watching him discover himself and his place in the world.

Tiffany walked through the heavy double doors of the studio, took off her stylish designer coat, and slung it over her arm as she walked toward her dressing room. She took a moment to relish the sight of her name, fastened to the door for all the building to see in purple glittery letters. As she lifted an elegant hand to run her long manicured fingers over the raised letters of her name, a Cartier gold watch glittered in the glow of the fluorescent lights in the hallway. The jeweled hands showed that she was late for rehearsal.
