Going Rogue
posted November 3, 2009 - 4:34pmNo matter what you think of Sarah Palin, she certainly made history as the first female Vice Presidential running mate from a major party. I know it is upsetting to think she may have quit her position as governor of Alaska in order to write and publish this book, but I know you can't resist to hear about her journey in her own words from Wasilla High School in 1982, to the School of Journalism at the University of Idaho, and from there to her two terms on the Wasilla City Council, and then two terms as the city's mayor and manager, and then was elected by her peers as president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors. From there she then chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission before being elected Alaska's youngest, and first female governor serving from 2006 to 2009, and while serving her state in the capacity of governor, she was tapped as Senator John McCain's running mate in 2008, becoming the first female Republican vice presidential candidate in our nation's history.
