Good Thailand magazine to Look out for
posted October 11, 2009 - 4:24amOne magazine I would recommend to look out for in Bangkok. Try getting Calendar magazine. It is a full colour glossy with over 100 pages of useful information. Restaurants, bars, hotels, airlines, real estate, shopping and all manner of good information.
It also has a very useful guide with contact details of the Chambers of Commerce of each country. At the back is an information directory guide if you are looking for a company or service. By the fact these companies advertise and have their names/addresses means they are serious businesses. So good to at least try them. There is also dates for networking, local business groups and convention centre shows/conferences.
It also have articles on serviced apartment blocks, companies and services. You can buy it at Emporium and various shopping malls. It is certainly one of my favourites in Bangkok. Although it is Thai owned and Thai managed it is all written in English which is marvelous for expats and foreigners. My Thai language skills are not bad but speaking Thai and reading it are two different things.
Bangkok is such a fabulous city and has so much to see/do. Calendar is a good starting point. There are others too you can check out. Calendar magazine is very useful to long term residents, expats, people doing buisness here and people looking for a more upmarket presentation of the city. All in all a good read. Many companies advertise in it and there is alot to see.
