The GOP Escalates Its Nutty Attacks on ACORN
posted October 15, 2008 - 5:37pmWhy is this still in the news? It has been thoroughly debunked as a viable news story, yet the Republican Party and right-leaning mainstream media insist on maintaining this as a distraction when there are other, vastly more important issues at play.
If any of them actually took time to read the article and apply some critical thinking, they would see that ACORN is required by LAW to submit EVERY voter registration form given them by the registration employees. They do not have an OPTION to round-file problematic forms and they actually let the states know UP FRONT which forms they've already FLAGGED as problematic.
This doesn't stop those who are anti-poor-people-voting from coming up with every manner of excuse to not let them vote, because those people tend to vote for Democrats.
If the Right doesn't like what ACORN is doing, it has the option of getting Republicans off their asses and out in the local communities to sign up more voters. This is penalizing initiative, at best.
Lastly, where is the proof that any person that registered to vote under "Tony Romo" in Nevada every INTENDED to show up on election day and actually cast a vote as TONY ROMO?
