Mark Sanford, the current governor of the state of South Carolina has admitted at a press conference that he was having an affair with a woman in Argentina and had been unfaithful to his wife, Jenny Sanford. In mid-June of 2009, Mark Sanford 'disappeared' for several days; he missed spending Father's Day with his family and did not show up for work. On Monday, June 22, 2009, his office announced that he had gone hiking on the Appalachian, however, on 24 June, 2009, Sanford said he never went hiking and instead went alone to Buenos Aires.
