Today, 7th December 2007, the contenders for the 50th Grammy ceremonies were announced. Not really surprising after her hugh success with her hit single 'Rehab', the British soul singer Amy Winehouse drew six Grammy Nominations. Besides her single, the singer received a nomination for album of the year for 'Back to Black' (Universal Republic). Kanye West is nominated for eight categories, including album of the year 'Graduation', best rap album and as co-writer for best rap song 'Good Life'. Bruce Springsteen is nominated for four categories, but none in the marquee categories. Also nominated is the new teenage country star Taylor Swift.
