Guide to celebrity news on the web (or, how to get through a slow day at work)
posted November 1, 2006 - 2:01pmAs any celeb news junkie knows, there's a whole lotta messyness out there in the world of celeb web content. Stick with these and you'll go straight to the pics and news you want.
BOOKMARK THESE: Snarky, wit-filled approaches to celebrity news. Fun even for those who are not
yet addicted
www.mollygood.com (Cute Jossip.Com offshoot).
www.defamer.com (Hilarious Hollywood)
THE BIG GUYS: Some of the most famous celeb media have terrible, useless websites. These are the only ones worth a visit.
http://www.nypost.com/gossip/gossip.htm (The most connected reporters in the business, Page 6 has yet to figure out what to do with their website. But what are you going to do, ignore them? Impossible).
http://people.aol.com/people (they pay a lot for pics. Enjoy)
www.usmagazine.com (they just revamped their website, so they get the "most improved" award).
http://www.eonline.com/index.jsp (If you actually know what Ted Casablancas is talking about, it's too late. You're hooked for good.)
THEY WISH: Controversial bloggers, reporter wannabees. They usually have good photos and will include unsubstanciated tips so you can get your fix on a slow "news" day.
www.perezhilton.com (Perez is irritating, but he has great pics and breaks a fair amount of stories. Once you are hooked, he's impossible to ignore).
www.pinkisthenewblog.com (Trent mixes celeb news with TV recaps and pics from his own personal life. I've warmed to it, but he's often behind the curve).
B-list bloggers: They cover everyone from the A to the D, but their website are definitely a step behind. Still worth it if you're really into this.
