Hammers Capture Swiss Star

West Ham United have completed the signing of Swiss utility player Valon Behrami in a 5 million deal from Lazio. The 23 year old who can play in defence or in midfield has signed a 5 year deal with the Hammers.

The Swiss international said "I am very happy to be able to sign for West Ham,"

"For me it is a dream come true to play for the club and in the Premier League.

"I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the team here."

Behrami appeared in all of Switzerlands games at Euro 2008 and was believed to be attracting a host of top clubs before signing for The Hammers.
