Hancock Review

Hancock Review

I went to go see Hancock today with relatively high expectations, and I must say that they were relatively fulfilled.

John Hancock, played by Will Smith, was executed very well by Smith in my opinion. He pulled off the "I don't give a sh&!" attitude very well. He's very good with his emotions and you could really connect with his feelings as they shifted from loneliness to happiness. It slightly reminded me of The Pursuit of Happiness.

I found the special effects to be done very originally, and I can't really put my finger on why. I believe it has something with the way Hancock moves soooo extremely fast. Whatever it was, I liked it, although I feel it could have been slightly better in the "fight" scene.

As it is made clear in the commercials, Hancock is a superhero. The whole movie you are waiting to find out the hows and why of Hancock's existence (ie. Superman came from Krypton and came on a meteorite). He finally gives a little detail, and you think it's going to build but it never really does. I had heard going into this movie that it supposedly had no plot, and I must say that this is kind of true, and it does hurt the movie a little, but it doesn't kill it.

All in all, it's a well-produced summer blockbuster and will easily be Will Smith's record breaking 12th $100 million film in a row (I believe that was the record?).

Let me know your guys' opinion on the movie as well.

Will Does It Again ~~

Most all of Will Smith's movies do great. He puts a lot into the performance. Great article and well written! 1+++ Now, please read this: http://www.xomba.com/man_arrested_after_climbing_nyc_skyscraper Make money writing ~ http://www.ehow.com/make-money-online.aspx?tcid=jun08_ref606

It's Not an Action-Movie, It's a "Will Smith"-Movie

Don't get me wrong; Will Smith delivers an excellent performance, but--whatever role he tries to assume--it ends up being 'Will Smith playing a role' that people see (rather than just 'the role'). Cast-lists should be accessible only by Internet, leaving the role-names to be the only attribution given on the big screen. Plugging Your Xombyte into Spout

It may seem like 'a whole other blog,' but look closely--- you'll notice that a lot of my posts at Spout have unexplained text reading 'X points.' That's a reminder that (as is also stated there) the posts that show up there are actually posts made on my Xombyte that include a link to any page there. If you sign up there and add your Xombyte as 'your blog,' this post is already there by the time you wake the next morning!
