Hank Williams's Music
posted November 1, 2009 - 9:26amHank Williams died on January 1, 1953. I have always been a fan of his even when he was living, and I will be until I die.

Hank's songs and music will live on and on.
They may even live forever.
Why just a
couple of weeks ago--
I heard a song of his that I had never heard before.
Hank died back the first day of 1953--
So you might expect to hear a new one for a few years more.
But it has been more than half-a-century,
After all this time his music is still as popular as when when he was living.
When Hank was living, they called him a drunk and an outlaw.
They said he would never amount to a hill of beans--
His music lives long after they are dead and forgotten.
Their's and his flesh and bones are rotten,
And still people are singing his songs.
They're singing them all day long.

I saw the one with Richard Thomas in it.
Yes Hannah, I saw the one with Richard Thomas in it, and it kind of seems like I may have seen the one with George Hamilton IV in about Hank sr. I loved the one about Hank Jr., and I was so young when I saw the one about sr. that I'm not sure if I saw it or only remember seeing previews on TV. I hope to get another chance to see it sometime and would buy it in a heartbeat if I get the chance and could find out where to get it at.
Thanks for commenting my friend.

Cool!
I love his music, and the movie about his life starring George Hamilton. It's a hard one to find. The Hank Williams Jr story with Richard Thomas from The Waltons, was good too!
