Happy 9th. Anniversary

I spent all morning wondering just what I should get for you
This year is hard and I didn’t know what to do.
I’ve watched you hurt and can hardly stand to see
So I thought I would write this poem so the world will know just what you mean to me.

Our kids are going through a lot and I know it breaks your heart
There’s nothing I can do but be here for you and play the husband’s part.
You’ve been through a lot with me and so I am absolutely sure
That my love for you is the purest of the pure.

You’ve stood between me and prison when anyone else would run
Then poking tickling and pestering me all in the name of fun.
There’s a love for you so deep in my heart that it will never go away
So you’re stuck with me for the rest of your life because here is where I’ll stay.

There was a time when we didn’t think we would ever get this far
But our love and our faith brought us through and now we walk the stars.
Through good times and bad there’s no place I’d rather be
Than here with you side by side so all can clearly see.

Just how much you mean to me and our love grows stronger each day
This path of love gets easier as we go our way.
There will never be anyone else in which I want to spend my life
I am proud to say I picked a peach when I chose you for my wife.
