Having Trouble Losing That Last 10 Pounds

Having Trouble Losing That Last 10 Pounds

I have been pretty successful with my most recent health plan. I have been using a hybrid of techniques lifted from different "gurus" and have been diligent and consistent.

I took the weight lifting routine from Body For Life. For me it's really simple to do and to follow correctly. I haven't found any other weightlifting system that is laid out so well and makes sense and produces results.

For aerobics I also use the Body For Life 20 Minute Aerobics Solution. But I don't push it as hard as is recommended because I heard that if your heart rate gets too high your body starts to eat up the nutrients your muscles need to grow. So while I still work up a sweat, I'm not going bonkers like I used to when I was younger. On rainy days I do 2 of the 10 Minute Trainer Solution cardio routines, usually core cardio and regular cardio.

For eating I use a combination of the Body For Life food list, but also the 4 steps that I discovered from the TV show I Can Make You Thin. These four simple steps were like a slap to the face when I heard them, they make *so much sense*. To supplement my 6 meals a day I am using GNC Pro Performance Mass XXX, because I am in Korea it's the best protein shake I can find at the moment and has served me well so far.

I've lost 25 pounds of fat and my pants are falling off of me, I've made two new holes in my belt but should probably buy a new one. I am happy with the results, I am just wondering how I can lose the last 10 pounds of fat I would say is getting in the way of my six pack. I know it's silly, but I always wanted one and I'm closer now than I've ever been.

I'm thinking about trying this but I am open to suggestions. Anyone know of a good reliable way to lose weight and build muscle, something to shake up my routine and trick my body into giving up the last little bit of fat that it seems to like so much. Please leave your comments!

Great Post +1

Don't forget to take your vitamins. I have been using the HSP (Hemp Seed Protein) for a few months now. I like it, and it does seem to support my protein needs well. I have also been doing the 5x5 routine for a while and it is very effective at Strength Building!! :) I am at least 25lbs lighter, but I have another 40-60 to go... I hope you'll put up an article or at least a comment about the Hempseed if you use it and what you think of the 5x5!! Best of luck! That sounds like a pretty good workout...

It's kind of similar to the body for life plan of monday wednesday friday and alternating AB so it should be easy to incorporate it into my program. Thanks for the tip, and I'll research the hemp!

I'd recommend the 5 x 5 routine.

AngryDago I recently wrote an article about this program and it has worked for me and it isn't far fetched. Supplements are a good addition but they shouldn't be your main source of calories. Try to keep your diet clean, remember the exercises build the six-pack but the diet shows it off. You might also be interested in trying hemp seed protein, it is high in amino acids and carries the perfect ratio of healthy fats. Plus it is high in fiber which is important for digestive health and blood sugar control. It's not very expensive either. Building muscle will help you lose those last few pounds and keep them off..cardio will in fact burn away muscle building nutrients and even cannibalize your muscle that you bust your butt building. Hope this helps! Check out my articles on this. http://www.xomba.com/do_you_dare_take_5_x_5_challenge http://www.xomba.com/b_hemp_seed_protein_new_health_superfood_b
