He loves his job more than me. :(

He loves his job more than me. :(

I really think he might. My boyfriend of 4 years, never called me today. He is a surgeon, and he just had a nurse call me from the operating room. I understand that he is busy, and has to work hard, as I will be a doctor shortly as well. But how can he not be able to find the time to call me, even for a few minutes? How can he not want to? It's so disappointing, to be sitting here waiting for him to come home, and then have some "messenger" call me, basically to tell me that I won't be seeing/talking to my boyfriend today.
Can he really love me, and treat me like this all at the same time? I just don't know anymore.

Loving Others is Spare-Time Work

Part of loving your couple-mate is 'believing that they love you,' even if they can't/don't show that love. If you are in his heart, you have to believe that he is in your heart ... or else he won't be. I don't know that you know you're in his heart; you do need to remind him every couple weeks (you know how). Maybe he's strong, and remembers that you're in his heart; but you need to remind him (not ask him) if you start to doubt it, and tell him he's in your heart. Each of you have to both "receive" and "take" each others' love, as well as BOTH "giving" and "sending" your own. When he's at the office, he has to devote 100% of his time, -energy, and -care to his patients. But all of his love is waiting with you! What do You Think? Join Xomba to Tell Us!
