There is actually a danger of mixing prescription drugs. Actor Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose of six different drugs. Painkillers, and sedatives. According to the medical examiners report, the actor died of acute intoxication from the combination of two strong painkillers, two anti anxiety medicines, and two sleeping aids. The medical examiner and the police did not give details on the drugs found in the actors apartment as well as who prescribed them. It is common for investigators to review prescriptions when so many drugs are involved in an overdose death. Currently the Drug Enforcement Administration is investigating how Ledger got the medications.
