Hello, my name is Jim and I'm a Xombaholic.

In my quest for an online opportunity just six short months ago, I came across Xomba and quickly signed up. I love to write and I write well, so that wasn't so much an issue as was learning search engine optimization (SEO) and writing for the Internet. Nick was very helpful with the links in explaining how Xomba, AdSense, and Xombytes/Xomblurbs worked, in addition to responding quickly to any questions I had. It didn't take long for me to see my AdSense account accumulate clicks and cash, slowly at first, but more and more as time went on.

I just went over the AdSense payment minimum of $100.00 last month for the first time, so I am learning what it takes to make money doing this thing. This isn't get-rich-quick or do-nothing-and-make-money. It takes a commitment to learn how to write not just well, but so the people using search engines are able to find our articles. Research, trial-and-error, editing, reading what others are writing, and keeping watch on the pulse of what people want have all been a part of my daily regimen.

This is not something that you can slap together an article or two on something that appears popular then sit back and wait for the money to roll in, which is why I work everyday to improve my proficiency and knowledge in SEO. Nick has been an excellent resource in this regard.

My goal for 2008 is to improve my writing while learning more about SEO and how to incorporate the most-searched keywords and phrases into my writing. My financial goal is to go beyond $100.00 in a month, which anyone can do by just focusing on making $3.33 every day. The key I've found is quality posts that accumulate clicks over time, so I pledge to submit a minimum of 5 Xombytes every day for the entire year.

I am proud to be a part of the Xomba community.

Thanks Nick!
Jim

Jim, it's been awhile :)

Nice to come across this article of yours Jim.  I am reading many testimonials today and trying to retain some new knowledge.  I've enjoyed this article just as I've enjoyed all of your others.

Thanks,

Leora

You made me do it

Hey Jim, Reading your post is one of the reasons I've decided to join Xomba. I've been a writer for more than 20 years, and I run several blogs that make me money with adsense, but sometimes it's more work than fun. You make this place sound fun, and that's what I need right now. I already know all about trying to keep articles geared toward SEO and all that, but I need somewhere that I can write and actually enjoy the act of writing again. Thanks for your post, it's brought life back into my creative mind. Christine Senter ~Freelance Writer~ ~Professional Blogger~

Welcome

Hi Jim, I am a new poster on here and looks fun. I signed up and wasn't sure how to get started; but I can see now that this site has many avenues of really helpful aspects to it. Nice to meet you and don't be a stranger.

Just beginning

I've just begun to get my feet wet here at Xomba, even though I signed up some weeks ago. So far I'm finding it a rewarding experience. It's a great environment to express my thoughts on a daily basis. kjhack's Xombytes kjhack's Xomblurbs Join Zomba

It's true.

It's true to say that Xomba is a great site.I like reading and writing but I can't do that good in English.Hehehe... I just like trying reading articles I like and post them here on my Xomblurb...I am happy here though I 've joined here only a short time.

Those clicks from past articles keep coming...

I haven't been here quite a year yet, so I don't have as much out in the ether, but I still find is interesting when something I wrote way back gets attention. I only track Xombytes through Google's channels (well, maybe 5 or 6 blurbs too), so I don't get to see what action my old Xomblurbs get. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

Grains of sand add up

The more posts a person has on the Web, the more page views he or she can get, and that means more earning potential. You write something once, and it stays on the Web indefinitely along with the Google ads. I still earn a bit of money occasionally from blurbs I wrote a year (or more) ago.

One grain of sand isn't much either

But when added together, they make a beach that would make a good vacation spot to spend that $1200.00 I made in one year just from writing articles. It's all in how you look at it. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

Thank you kindly!

One thing I like about the Xomba concept is that our articles are sent out into the ether and will be there 24/7 for as long as there is an Internet, so the potential is there to make money from one article into perpetuity. Every day is a new learning experience here and it's fun to do! DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?
