Help for circadian –related sleep disorders

Can’t sleep?

There are natural ways to bring relief. One source of help for insomnia comes in the form of the color blue.

Blue lowers blood pressure.

It may also help with sleep disorders because it stimulates the pituitary gland, which is responsible for regulating sleep.

Circadian rhythm disorders are disruptions in a person’s natural biological rhythms and affect things like their body temperature, alertness and sleep rhythm. Many people suffer from disruptions to their natural cycle and wonder what they can do besides taking tablets in order to fall asleep and rest well.

Using a blue light in the bedroom will help regulate sleep. Blue light therapy systems were developed and have been used by NASA to help regulate the sleep pattern of astronauts.

NASA used these systems in preparation for long distance space travel. They’ve been tried, tested and proven to work. You don’t have to be an astronaut to benefit.

If you want to buy a blue light to help yourself sleep well, but not just any old blue light, you can try the light bulb developed by Verilux.

The Verilux lighting system gives out blue light exactly in the 460nm range(nm measures the light frequency) and is good for even young children who have difficulty falling asleep.

Also use blue in the bedroom colors. That will stimulate a more relaxing sleep.

Your sheets, and bedroom curtains, floor rugs, etc can be blue. You can even do your bedroom in a nautical theme. Hang a painting, or place an object in the room that reminds you of the sea.

You might think too much blue overwhelming, especially if it really isn’t your favorite color and you just want better sleep.

If so, use the blue with a color that complements it. Brown works really well with blue.

Brown helps to create rich, warm texture that goes well with the calming effect of the blue. Picture yourself coming home after a hard day’s work to a bedroom tastefully decorated in those two colors!!!

I hope you find sweet dreams!
