Go to the start menu to Turn off computer and click Restart. As the computer restarts, you should see the progress bar at the bottom of the screen.

You need to press F8 about once every second. Keep pressing the F8 button before the progress bar gets to the right side. You should hear a beep. The screen that will come up is the Windows Start-up menu. Highlight Safe Mode and press Enter.  Do not choose Safe Mode with Networking. You do not need that. Just Safe Mode.  Wait for your computer to restart. Your icons will appear larger on your desktop, so don't be alarmed.  Your computer will also be slow in this mode and that is ok.

You are going to want to search for the following files on your hard drive and then delete them. 

1. Gav.exe
2. mgrdll.exe
3. Delete the folder GAV

After you have found these files and folder, DELETE THEM. Go to your recycle bin and empty it. Right Click on your Recycle Bin and select Empty Recycle Bin or you can also double Click on your Recycle Bin and select Empty Recycle Bin.

Restart the computer, and allow it to boot normally. Don't go back into safe mode. When your computer boots back up, the virus will be gone. This worked for me the first time I did it, hope it works for you too.
