Justine Henin put on a display in the US Open final the underlined why she is the best player in the world. The top seed and world number 1 was all power and precision as she put away 4th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-1 6-3.

Henin has been in outstanding form over the last 2 weeks. This has been a tournament in which she had to defeated both Williams sisters on the way to the final. She thoroughly deserved the win and is a class above everyone else at present.

"The quality I played in the last few matches is amazing," Henin said. "It's just a great feeling because I had a tough draw, and I've had a lot of things to prove to myself - not to anyone else, just myself - and I did it. Not many of people thought that I could win this Open with the draw I had, and I did it. It's amazing for me."
