Hey Nick, You Are the Spanish Word of the Day Today 9/27/08

In order to improve my grasp on the Spanish language, I try to find ways to learn more words so that I can have a decent conversation with hispano-hablantes without messing up too much.

So, imagine my surprise as I opened up my email today to find that Nick< span> is the chosen Spanish Word of the Day from dictionary.com.

To take it one step further, the Spanish definition for Nick is a nickname, or specifically, the user name you would use on internet sites. Wow, what are the chances?

But wait...maybe Nick is just a screen name for Xomba's CEO. I wonder what his real name might be? Walter? Ivan? Pete?

And what if his last name shows up on tomorrow's email as the next Spanish word of the day? Then we may have a real mystery on our hands. We'll have to call upon kjhack (he wants to be Columbo, remember?) to solve the mystery of "Nick".
