87 year old Army Archerd who wrote stories about the movie stars for the Hollywood trade from the last 50 years died in Los Angeles Hospital. He died due to cancer of the lungs. He born in New York in 1922. He served as the greeter inerviewer at the Academy Award. First he merried to Joan Archerd and had two childern. In 1969 he divorce and married his second wife Selma in 1970.
