home made pizza pockets for picky eaters

Long before pizza hut came out with calzones or grocery stores carried hot pockets I was making those tasty little sandwiches for not only my children but for small casual get togethers. M y first hotpockets were made completely from scratch but now adays with all of the great tasting premade ready to cook crusts, i buy the pizza dough in the freezer department, and then add my own fillings.

first get out a large cookiesheet and spray with cooking spray so the pizza hotpockets will not stick, take your premade thawed out pizza crust and cut into four peices, add about two tablespoons any brand spagetti sauce, we like the chunky veggie lovers by ragu, to the center od dough, next a healthy pinch of mozzerella cheese, some chopped onion and minced bell pepper, then a few diced pepperoni's...

now  fold each peice of dough over to form a triangle shape sealing your tasty fillings in side, press lightly around the edges to seal, now brush each one with melted butter and sprinkle a light dusting of garlic powder across each one

now bake in oven at about 350 degrees for ten to fifteen minutes, it might be more or less time depending on your oven so hang out in the kitchen while they get good and brown....

now remove from oven and let cool about five minutes, if serving to small children be aware that the centers will be very hot and take care not to burn the roof of your mouth cause thats always a bummer...

to make this a well rounded healthy meal, add a green salad with lettuce cucumbers and some cherry tomatoes, use a light dressing of your choice, you see eating healthy does not mean givivg up favorites or starving, it only means to plan and eat your meals with health and heart as a top priority

oishii!

This sounds delicious!

I love pizza and usually try my own home made with italian and jerk sausage when I am home in Jamaica.

I never thought of making the pizza pocket and look forward to doing so.

This sounds quick, easy and tasty.
