Telling the truth and being an honest person will have a dramatic, positive influence on your life. If you are always honest, people will begin to respect your honesty and begin to value your opinions. Telling the truth in all situations is always the best option because lying never solves the problem and if you lie once and get caught you are known for a liar forever.
             There are many negative effects not telling the truth. One effect of being honest would be if someone asked you if you liked what they were wearing. If you told the truth and the answer was no then the person would most likely change their clothes. If you lied and said yes, she would most likely keep what she had on and go out. Lets say that while the she was out someone made fun of her outfitt. The person who you lied to would come back to you and be mad at you. Also she would never ask for your opinion ever again. If you were honest from the start she would of changed and would have enjoyed her night much more. Since you lied you ruined her night and you lost opinion privleges. Another example would be if you committed a crime and lied about it. If the police find out that you acaully did the crime your  punishment will be worse that if you were honest with the police.
              If you are honest and tell the truth, the benefits will pay off.  Being an honest person will lead to a stress free lifestyle. A liar for istance will think about there lie and usually have to make more lies to keep another lie going. This causes stress.  You can actually make a career of telling the truth. For instance movie critics, food critics, and art critics make great money just for there opinion on there subjects. Another benefit of being an honest person is that your peers will trust you with anything and it makes an excellent impression on the people around you.
           Being an honest person can make or break your personality. No one wants to be friends with a liar or a dishonest person.  If you are honest than more than likely you will be surrounded by honest people which creates a posotive influence or success will follow.  For example if you hang out with  a group of dishonest people who lie then your life will be surrounded with lies and false hopes. If you are surrounded by honest people you will be surrounded with truth and have a good grasp on what is going on.
             Honesty is the key to success. If you are not a honest person you will most likely go far in life. Speaking the truth leads to a stressless life which will make everything much easier. Also the benefits of being an honest person will benefit you and your peers for a lifetime. I will end with a famous quote in which you should live your life by. “The truth shall set you free”
