It won't be long

Until your little one is into the cookie jar, I have 11 grandkids and find keeping the jar a challenge at times. Once my now nearly 4 year old granddaughter demanded I drive into town to buy some cookies or make some right now. I told her one I was not driving 40 miles round trip to the store to get cookies and two I was too busy that day to make cookies and it was too hot to bake anyway. She looked me in the eye and hands on hips said "Well I like cookies, I am the boss and I want some now"! Nope I told her, your not the boss, no cookies but I do have some ice cream bars in the freezer how does that sound? "Okay", she said, "But I still like cookies best". And she does she is my biggest "Cookie Monster".

Hello everyone, stop and set awhile.

i like the last hint especially

At this point however, I only have a 2 month old daughter. With no teeth, she's no help on the cookie end. My husband manages to make up for that most of the time. My mom's secret for keeping cookies fresh and moist works too - put a piece of bread with the cookies and store in an airtight container. The bread will get hard and dried out but the cookies won't.
