Houston We Have A Problem - Hurricane Ike Is Coming
The hurricane Ike is heading towards Houston Texas. It is scary as many still haven't forgotten how hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in August 2006.
It is expected that the hurricane will reach the coast by Friday evening or Sunday morning local time. By then Ike is expected grow to a hurricane of category 2 with wind speeds over 200 km/h.

A hurricane warning was issued for the 650 kilometer long coastline stretch between Corpus Christi and Morgan City and an evacuation was ordered for Galveston.
Forecasters said the wall of water being pushed onshore by the mammoth storm could cause floods of up to 7 meters above sea level in Galveston, enough to cover many houses on the island. "Persons not heeding evacuation orders in single-family one- or two-story homes will face certain death," the National Weather Service said. "Many residences of average construction directly on the coast will be destroyed."
Lets hope that the hurricane Ike won't cause much damage like hurricane Katrina did.
