A short while back, very few people had even heard of “Paranormal Activity.” Now, due to the explosive strength of viral marketing (remember the “Blair Witch Project”) and the fact that the movie is taking on a life of its own, the low-budget horror-flick is on track to becoming one of the year’s most profitable for Paramount.

While I haven’t seen the movie, a responder to this article said at least seven of his friends have told him that they are afraid to sleep in their own bedrooms after seeing the movie.
