How to Become a Greener Business
posted April 25, 2009 - 2:56pmHow to go green business. Business are now becoming more environmentally friendly, people are now understanding the importance of how to go green business. By going green the business now becomes socailly responsible and has the possibility of receiving government grants and tax subsidies to help them on their green journey. Here are 5 steps on how to go green business.
STEP 1 - REDUCE ENERGY WASTAGE
Ask a environmental officer to attend your office and provide you with a recommendation on how to reduce your energy wastage, on average we waste about 40% of energy needlessly, by addressing the reasons we waste energy we can all save money and have the peace of mind that we are reducing our carbon emissions and also our carbon foorprint too. Staff should also be made aware and penalised for wasting energy. http://tradepro9.earth4.hop.clickbank.net/
STEP 2 - USE A RENEWABLE SOURCE
Switch to a renewable source, most energy companies have a plan that is dedicated to green energy, it costs slightly more however from the savings you make from step one it will more than cover the costs of the price increase. By using a renewable source such as wind or solar we are helping the green industries flourish as the demand rises. The extra money there energy companies get for the green plan is usually dedicated to research and development therefore the progress becomes faster. http://tradepro9.wspower4.hop.clickbank.net/
STEP 3 - GO PAPERLESS
Go completely paperless, work via emails and have a secure filing system in place using a server. 500m tonnes of paper are wasted every year and by reducing the amount of paper we need means that less trees will be cut down as we demand less paper, these extra trees that will remain will help reduce the carbon emissions and ensure that more carbon is being turned into oxygen helping the environment flourish. http://tradepro9.waterauto.hop.clickbank.net/
STEP 4 - USE ENERGY EFFICIENT EQUIPMENT
Most equipment are not energy efficient, try and renew all your equipment with A rated energy efficient appliances, this way you will be savng money by using less energy which will eventually pay off the investment and you will have the peace of mind that you are helping the environment by reducing your carbon emissions. If you cannot replace your equipment then go for energy saving adaptors that help keep the equipment on standby. http://tradepro9.earth4.hop.clickbank.net/
STEP 5 - WORK FROM HOME
By working from home you dont have to commute, commuting is the biggest polluter of the environment, you will be making a less of a contribution to the carbon emissions and will have the luxury of working from home. Employers should have some sort of system to monitor productivity, employers will also save on office space as less space is needed. Overall there are many economies of scale that can be achieved through going green and we have a social responsibility to do so. http://tradepro9.energyopt.hop.clickbank.net/
