How Chronic Pain Can Lead to Depression

Chronic pain is not a topic that people enjoy reading about. It does help to understand that depression has a lot to do with pain control and tolerance. There are healthy things people can do to help in control their pain levels. Pain doesn't have to add more pain   to your body. People can try relaxation tips that may help reduce their pain levels. A peaceful mind does the body good. It may even eliminate it. Pain tends to stay around when stress factors have been elevated. Try leading a life that is more peaceful and your joints may thank you. Exercise, eat right and pray for a healthy new start and you'll find out that pain may just permanently go away.

Absolutely!

When I was a counselor doing my internship with children and familes we just started to incorporate diagnostic criteria in ort evaluations for people who had chronic pain. Depression often happens with these people. it's harder when it's children, as they don't understand as much as adults. And yes, staying healthy can eleveate pain, and sometimes even cure the disease or condition itself. I am a big believer in holistic methods for healing!
