Use coupons. There are many coupons everywhere. On the net, in newspapers, everywhere. You just have to search for them.
-
Use Recipes with Love. This program gives members menus, shopping list and very tasty recipes for the working family. This program is not only helpful but extremely affordable. Recipes With Love can make your life so much easier.
-
Buy in bulk. If you have a large stand alone freezer, then consider buying things that can be frozen in bulk. A freeze is a great investment that will pay for itself in no time. You can buy things while on sale or when you have some great coupons. For example turkeys are great and go on sale during big holidays like easter and thanksgiving. You can buy like 4 turkeys and use them whenever you have a big party or when you want to feed your family for a whole week. Think of the savings! You can also freeze things like milk and frozen veggies. Join programs that offer bulk items for discount prices. Even if it cost a few dollars for membership it may be worth the extra cost when you count all the saving out.
-
Make staple items. Like lets say you and your family loved the spicy veggie soup recipe from Recipes with Love. You can plan on having that meal or any other meal at least twice a month by buying the items needed in advance. This will save you lots of money and time since you won't have to go to the store when you want to make the meal.
-
Buy store brands if they taste good. Compare the common store brand with the name brand you love so much. Does it really make a different? Could you stand the store brand if it can save you $5 to $20 a month! Always consider the facts.
-
Eat in rather than out. Many people love that expensive cafe coffee. But did you know that actually bag the ground coffee so you can serve it at home. Think of the saves. Also you can make egg sandwiches in your own home also. There is no reason to go to the local fast food place just for a sandwich when it can be made at home for just pennies on the dollar. If you still love eating out then plan to eat out twice a month with the whole family. You could decide to try a new restaurant at this time or go to the same one each month.

Have your kids take lunches to school with then. Cafeteria food can be so expensive. Bagged lunches and save lots of money. Make them items that don't need to be warm but can be stored in different locations under different climates. You will save a lot of money because you won't have to give your child money each time they go to school. When your child begins to go to high school then it makes since to buy food from the school, mostly because it's easier than other things.
