First and foremost snakes get mites. It does not mean you are not taken care of them or you did something wrong. It is what you do know that matters.

Ok so you know for sure your snake has mites. You have seen the mites in the water bowl, crawling on the snake or under the snakes’ scales. If you’re not sure what a mite looks like they are very small round bugs. Look like very small ticks. When I say small I mean very tiny most are not bigger than the period on your keyboard. One type is very dark brown to almost black looking. If you kill it you can see the snakes blood inside it.

There is lots of treatments and ways to get rid of snakes. This is the one I use and so far has worked well with 100% mite death and 0% snake death. But it is up to you on how you treat your snakes.
