How To Eat Healthy & Save Money from Your Local 99 Cents Store

You can eat healthy even from a 99 cents store. Yoiu just have to be willing to ignore the processed foods they carry so much of. I go to my 99 cents store all the time. Now this is one of the bigger ones that carry some produce and foods, not the little ones. Well, let me tell you about some of the things I have picked up. The good part is on a daily basis what is available changes all the time.

Just last week II got some organic frozen mixed berries, and blackberries as well. These were a nice size bag that usually cost four times as much. The week beofre I got organic frozen meals that were technically a kids meal , but was plenty for me. I had pasta with sweet potato sauce and a nice mixed vegetetable. The top brand yogurts are almost always available, but instead of spending 89 cents for each one they were only 39 cents each. They always have a good supply of the fancy romaine lettuce in a bag that cost quite a bit in the supermarkets also.

I don't drink soy milk, but they had the quart containers for 99 cents and it was a top brand. Asian Pears are available quite often for 3 for 99 cents. You know those little shot things of yogurt stuff that help your intestinal gut, the ones Jamie Lee Curtis advertises, again 99 cents for a pckage of 4.

They always carry several different brands of bottled water. My best find was fresh raspberries. Now, I rarely see raspberries for less than 3.99 for a small tub. They were delicious and not bruised in any way. I even picked up a big tub of cultured sour cream for 99 cents just the other day. Okay maybe sour cream isn't all that healthy, but it was cultured like the yogurt.

Anyway, you can eat healthy and save lots of money while your doing it. I don't care how rich I become, I will keep shopping till I drop at the 99 cent stores!

???

Never noticed if there's an actual name. it's just the 99 cents store. We have several here in Tucson. We have dollar stores too. i guess they just fekt competitive so they lowered it a penny! I get lots of stuff there, and save boo koo bucks!

That 99 cent store.

I love blackberries.  I guess I have to--after all I am from the south you know.  Really they are wonderful.  When we go to Crackerbarrel to eat, my wife asks for blackberry jam, and they actually pick out that kind and bring it to her rather than bring grape, strawberry or something else that she doesn't want.  I told you yesterday that Crackerbarrel is a good place to eat.

You know I have never heard of a 99 cent store before.  I know of three different dollar stores not far from here, but that is the first time I have ever heard of a 99 cent store.  What is the actualy name of it?
