How to Follow the UFC Rules of the Octagon

If you happen to find yourself fighting in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), knowing the UFC rules for what can and cannot be done could mean the difference between winning and getting thrown out of the ring. When the UFC first started, the UFC rules were few and flexible. Now that the UFC has been gaining in popularity, there are more UFC rules than ever to keep the fight clean and protect the fighters. It also gives what is considered by some to be a barbaric sport a better image.

When you break the UFC rules of engagement, you will get warnings from the referee, lose points from the scorecard and if you don’t stop you could get disqualified and lose the fight. The UFC rules are in place to protect the fighters from very serious injuries and keep the fight fair. Follow these UFC rules so you don’t lose points or lose the fight by disqualification
