I have been blogging online for a bit and have learned some helpful tips on increasing visitors to your page. Here are some things you will need to know to help you gain more traffic to your site.
Have you ever searched for anything on Google, Yahoo or MSN? If so, then you will see a list of hundreds of sites about the topic you searched. If you want to be on the front page of the search engines you will have to use backlinks that are connected to many other website. If you want to get backlinks you will need people to bookmark you page and post links that lead to your website. You can do this yourself if you want, most do.
Try posting articles or reviews of things that are related to your site. You can try writing a review on a popular site about a pitbull if your site is all about dogs.
Look into a very important thing called keywords. If you are running a site on your own, you most likely have information that is very niche. Meaning you have a lot of information on one subject. Maybe you will have good info on morning coffees or cell phones. Find out the keywords for your topics so you can have them on your site. You can use Wordtracker.com or FreeTrafficSystem.com.
