How to get through the holiday for diabetics

Holiday food is high in sugar which is not good for diabetics
Avoid holiday food because it’s high in sugar
Maybe avoid holiday party
Don’t eat if you’re going to be there
Eat non-sugary food
Avoid the sugary shakes

Holiday food in your home
You can control the food in your home
Don’t buy sugary food
Buy non-sugary food
Buy protein, and meat, they are low in sugar
Avoid carbs too
Fruits and vegetables have high glucose content even though they are healthy for the normal person
They may have high glucose content for the diabetics
How to shop

Avoid shopping for sugary food
They look good and they look right for the holiday but they are high in sugar
Avoid buying cookies, cake, bread, milkshakes, deserts
Buy meat, ham, fish, chicken, these are low in sugar, high in protein
Avoid sugary drinks
Milkshakes, coffee
Cakes, cookies
Avoid making sugary drinks or eggnogs at home
Avoid the sugar pot
Hide it
Sugar can throw off your glucose level
Unhealthy for diabetics
