Number 2: Allow them to go out more with friends. Number 3: Reward them with cash. I personally hink this one will motivate them the most. If you get them motivated, your teen will work hard and respect you as a parent. However, just don't go off and reward them for saying please or making their bed. Get them in the habit of doing things such as cleaning, mowing the grass, being sincere to others, and walking the family pet. It is kind of like chores but I try to think of it as a first job working at home. On the contrary, if your teen does not do as asked, punish them by taking allowance away, not letting them go out, or being grounded from the cell phone.
